StopBrexit March - Manchester

The National Stop Brexit March in Manchester on 1 October 2017

Join us on 1 October 2017 in Manchester on our National March to demand that Brexit is stopped.

The Stop Brexit March is a national protest, supported by A C Grayling and Alastair Campbell. It brings people together from across the country on Sunday 1 October 2017 in a protest at the Conservative Party Conference: to demand one thing – #StopBrexit

Marching in Manchester on the first day of the Tory party conference offers the opportunity for our voices to be actually heard by Theresa May and her colleagues in the Convention Centre.

We will be assembling from 11 a.m. at Whitworth Park, where we are holding a large rally with many prominent speakers to entertain and educate the audience whilst the groups from all over UK arrive.  All marchers should aim to be there by 12 noon, and certainly no later than 1.30 p.m.  as the march has to be assembled and ready to depart then.

From there,  we will be marching along the Oxford Road to the Convention Centre, where the Conservative Party Conference will be in full session.

The exact plans for the end point of the march are still pending further advice from the police, but we would encourage marchers to join the street party being organised by the local remain groups Manchester for Europe and NW4EU, at 3 p.m. before making their way home at 5 p.m.

It’s essential that the Conservative Party and the rest of the world know that we want to stop Brexit. So please come dressed in blue, with yellow accessories, and EU flags, banners and placards. And bring drums, whistles, horns and claxons to make some noise

We are working with full approval from Greater Manchester Police. It would really help us to help them if we have a good idea of how many people we are expecting, so please head on over to our EventBrite page  to register your interest, or sign up through our Facebook event page. There’s no cost for tickets, we just need to know how many people we are expecting.

Make no mistake: this is a #StopBrexit demonstration.
